The Online Taxpayer portal is now available for Individual Use Tax. It is available for both self-assessment and bill pay if you received a Notice from the department.
Individual Use Tax (IUT) – The Cook County Use Tax is imposed at the rate of 1% on the selling price of tangible personal property (e.g. - automobile, truck, boat, aircraft, motorcycle, snowmobile, trailer, mobile home, etc.) purchased through a sale at retail and titled or registered at a location in Cook County.
***UPDATES TO PAYMENT PROCESSING FOR ACH (E-CHECK) PAYMENTS ONLY***
Effective July 1st, 2024, Cook County Department of Revenue switched to a new ACH payment provider. If your financial institution requires a Company ID to avoid a debit block when paying by ACH, please provide them with the new Company ID, 0000408976.
You will be required to reenter your bank's routing and account number for accounts previously stored on the portal.
